With over 23 years in the real estate industry, Donny Piwowarski has built a reputation for delivering results across residential, commercial, and investment markets. As the founder of Hero Real Estate and the force behind the dpiWOW platform, Donny combines deep industry knowledge with a tech-forward approach to help clients succeed in any market.
Donny’s journey began in Silicon Valley’s tech sector, where he ran a computer support company in San Jose. A chance opportunity to build the infrastructure for a mortgage and real estate firm sparked a new career—one that quickly evolved into dual roles as a mortgage broker and real estate agent. That early experience gave him a 360-degree understanding of real estate financing, lending, and deal structuring that continues to benefit his clients today.
In addition to residential sales, Donny has led numerous commercial and investment transactions, including the acquisition and renovation of multi-family properties, commercial leases, and the ground-up management of over 15 ADU construction projects. His commercial clients value his strategic thinking, hands-on involvement, and ability to simplify complex deals with confidence.
What truly sets Donny apart is his digital marketing expertise. Unlike traditional agents who rely on postcards or MLS exposure alone, Donny engineers customized marketing campaigns that leverage video, paid social media, retargeting, SEO, and global ad networks. From 2010 to 2012, Donny was recognized as one of the top short-sale and foreclosure specialists, closing over 400 distressed property transactions. That experience taught him how to thrive in uncertain markets and guide clients through even the most difficult situations with clarity and care.
